Sirmione prepares for summer with the magnificent blooms along the peninsula
An explosion of flowers and colors welcomes tourists and citizens at the gates of Sirmione. On the occasion of spring and in view of the opening of the tourist season, the flowerbeds of Viale Marconi are once again populated with wonderful and colorful tulips, an irresistible attraction for flower and photography enthusiasts.
The prestigious collaboration between the Municipality of Sirmione and Count Giuseppe Inga Sigurtà of the homonymous Garden is also renewed for 2024. Two local businesses particularly sensitive to the theme of beauty.
When visiting the flower beds, the Mayor of Sirmione, Luisa Lavelli, commented:
“Sirmione welcomes us with an incredible explosion of flowers and colors that enhances the beauty of our city. Tulips in Sirmione, the result of the prestigious collaboration with the Sigurtà Garden Park, is a project that joins the other important planting and valorization interventions of the green areas throughout the peninsula: a surprising and joyful business card to welcome tourists and visitors in the best possible way.”
For the Sirmione flowerbeds, the pastel-coloured Menton and Dordogne varieties were chosen, the Barbados variety, red and with fringed petals, and North Pole, with a white shade. A total of 54,700 bulbs planted, which in these days are blooming and showing themselves in all their colorful beauty. The tulip blooms are enriched by early daffodils characteristic for their flowering during the Easter period.

The design of the numerous flowerbeds is by Sigurtà himself, who personally takes care of the design of the tulip blooms of Parco Giardino Sigurtà and other municipalities of Lake Garda. An activity that earned him the Best Tulip Festival of the Year award. Count Giuseppe Inga Sigurtà is a member of the World Order of the Tulip, an honor awarded to him for his tireless commitment to promoting and enhancing this beautiful flower.
