Accessible Sirmione

Over time Sirmione has worked hard to become increasingly welcoming for people with disabilities.

When you arrive in Sirmione there are accessible parking  bays in Piazzale Porto and some reserved parking spaces in the town centre in Piazza Porto Valentino, as well as special buses.

All pedestrian routes are suitable for wheelchairs. Unfortunately the Scaligero Castle is not accessible inside, but the Grottoes of Catullus, including the museum, are.

There is a special winch for anyone who wants to enjoy a boat trip, to help people with reduced mobility to board the boats in Piazzale Porto. Public toilets with disabled facilities can be found in Piazzale Monte Baldo, in Viale Marconi and at Lido Galeazzi beach.

The town council does not directly manage accessible equipped beaches, but we recommend the Lido Galeazzi beach for people with reduced mobility because it has wheelchair access to the lake: more information is available on the dedicated page.
