The European Privacy Regulation (EU Regulation no. 679/2016, hereinafter GDPR) prescribes a series of rights for interested parties regarding the processing of their personal data. Source of data collection and categories of data processed:
As you visit our website and use the OpenAI Chatbot, we automatically collect certain information, including your device’s IP address, the type of browser you use, the date and time of interactions, and the pages you visit.
OpenAI, as an independent data controller, may also collect content relating to interaction with the Chatbot to improve the service and its responsiveness.
Purpose and legal basis of the processing
The processing of your data takes place to answer questions from users aged over fourteen addressed to the Chatbot (art.6.1.b GDPR), as well as to analyze user trends, administer the website, improve the tourist and cultural services of the Municipality of Sirmione and personalize the user experience both by the Municipality and by OpenAI (art.6.1.f GDPR).
The functionality of the service also includes the transfer of data to OpenAI’s US servers which requires the user’s express consent (art.6.1.a GDPR). Consent is requested before accessing the Chatbot service. Sending questions to the Chatbot necessarily involves the provision of log data. The sending of other personal data, however, is completely optional.

We are currently unable to provide your data with equivalent protection to that provided within the EEA, so you must expressly consent to the transfer of your data outside the EEA.
Scope of communication and dissemination of data

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we have collected about you. You can also request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.
