The five most Instagrammable places
Everyone loves Sirmione on social media and there are some places in the town that just have to be shared with friends and followers!
Here is our list of the five best locations for taking great photos to post on your Instagram account.
01. The lush bougainvillea in the historic town centre
The most photographed site in Sirmione is by far the beautiful bougainvillea that blooms during the summer, between June and September, on the building on the corner of Via Vittorio Emanuele and Via Piana.
Its purple flowers are so intense that it immediately catches the eye, so it is impossible not to want take a picture every time you pass it!

02. Jamaica Beach
The ideal place to take photos if you love photos with exotic charm!
Jamaica beach is located at the tip of the peninsula, below the Grottoes of Catullus. You can reach it on foot or by a small electric train from the historic town centre. Enter through a gate located just before the entrance to the Grottoes of Catullus and follow the steep descent surrounded by olive trees.

03. Scaligero Castle
If you like castles and fairytale buildings, you can take incredible photos here.
You could go inside for a fee and climb the castle tower that offers amazing photographic opportunities of the entire historic town centre with Lake Garda in the background. And watch out for the sunset!

04. Grottoes of Catullus
If you enjoy romantic views, the perfect backdrop for photos can be provided by these ancient ruins that have a panoramic view of Lake Garda.
The Grottoes of Catullus are one of the most beautiful places in the area and it is possible to take wonderful photos here during the day and at sunset.

05. “Kiss me, Please!”
Don’t forget to take a photograph in front of the “Kiss, Please” sign found on a terrace, behind the church, overlooking the castle and the lake.
