The project Le Chiavi di casa launched by ANFFAS in 2018 is part of the regulatory framework of law 112/2016 and aims to promote the well-being, social inclusion and autonomy of people with intellectual and relational disabilities, laying the foundations for new life opportunities integrated into the territorial fabric outside the family context.The project is realized in the construction of individual emancipation paths that the children, accompanied by an educator, carry out in small groups where they learn to carry out all the tasks necessary to live with the greatest possible autonomy. The headquarters is a beautiful house, moreover confiscated from the mafia, that the Municipality of Desenzano has made available to ANFFAS, where children experience their skills and independence from parents, challenging the limits imposed by too standardized paths and too much visions. superficial.
The enthusiasm of the children and their parents has facilitated the overcoming of many obstacles. Their determination to pursue the dream of a happy and independent life will allow them to overcome the rest.The exhibition Un’altra Visione stems from the desire of photographers Cristina Treccani and Antonello Perin to reveal the humanity that unites us beyond the diversity of each one and, in particular, to capture the immense wealth of people with intellectual disabilities.The purpose of the photographers and the sensitivity of the municipalities of Sirmione and Desenzano, the daily work of ANFFAS and the spontaneity of people with disabilities, have given life to a path where, with the succession of shots, the disability fades and the attention of the viewer is captured by the vivacity of the eyes, the intensity of the expressions, the commitment of the gestures of the people photographed. Another vision, a different way of looking, seeing in the other the different that is in us, being amazed at recognizing ourselves as the same.
