The popular program "Marty in the Morning" visits Sirmione to talk about Maria Callas and the Grottoes of Catullus
In July, Sirmione welcomed host Marty Whelan and the crew from RTÉ Lyric FM, the historic Irish radio station, to Lake Garda to produce a special report for “Marty in the Morning,” one of the station’s most popular programs, dedicated to music, culture, and local stories.
The Irish editorial team’s journey led them to discover some of Sirmione’s most iconic landmarks: Villa Callas and the Grotte di Catullo. Through stories, interviews, and insights, the episode explored the profound bond between Sirmione and Maria Callas, who found inspiration and serenity here, as well as the authentic character of a community that has always been dedicated to welcoming visitors from around the world.
