Quiz Time!
An entertaining evening between book-inspired quizzes and to share different Easter traditions all over the world
Springtime has begun, the weather is kind and nights are brights… everything is set for our meeting with the English cafè!
For our April encounter we’ll stay together with funny quizzes on books, literature, British popular culture, book we have read during our meeting and extra book questions for those who have only recently or never joined the club before. There will be something special for everybody!
As Easter time is among us, we will also have a chat on Easter traditions from all over the world, as, in the club, we are represented by several different nations.
The English Cafè will gather on April 13th at 8:00 pm, at the Cafè Promenade in Piazza Virgilio 22, Sirmione.
Even if you didn’t attend the previous meetings, you can step in any time you want.
By the way, the book we are reading for the Sirmione Book Club English and that will be discussed on March 9th at the Public Library is Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens.
Free admission.
You can book your place at the English Cafè
Our English reading group features monthly encounters, organized as follows:
- The Sirmione Book Club English, on uneven months in the Municipal Library, with books proposed by the coordinator Rosemary Williamson.
- The English Cafè, on even months, where to more freely talk about books we’d like to read, share, propose. The English Cafè, as the name suggests, will not take place in the Public Library, but in a more informal venue, namely a pub, bar or vinery in Sirmione. The designated place will be announced each time.
