XIV Memorial Morandi
Vintage Cars Regularity Race
Memorial Morandi was born to celebrate the pilot Giuseppe Morandi from Castiglione. He won various national and international races between 1921 and 1932 driving OM Brescia cars, among them the first edition of Mille Miglia in 1927. In 2009 Club Auto Moto Storiche Castiglionese promoted the publication of the book <Morandi, il primo della Mille Miglia> and this year organizes the 14th edition of Memorial Morandi, reserved to vintage cars built until 1940. The news this year is OM Trophy that will reward the first OM car in a dedicated rank.

Programme:
Saturday 24th September
10am-12pm meeting of participants in Piazzale Porto, Sirmione; sport and technical checks
12-12:45pm buffet at Trattoria Nunu’s alla Scala, piazza Castello, Sirmione
1pm start of the first car for route with optional regularity competition and towards Caprino Veronese
Sunday 25th September
8:30am start of the first car from piazzale Porto, Sirmione for the second session of optional regularity competition
10:30am break and aperitif at Ristorante Colombaro, Salò
12:30pm arrival in Padenghe sul Garda, at Ristorante Aquariva; lunch, award ceremony and closure of the event
Traffic changes:
There are no particular changes to the circulation. The only affected area is that of Piazzale Porto, the loading and unloading area and the authorized area, and of the first part of Lungolago Diaz in the section between Piazzale Porto and Largo Faselo Bitinico, which will be completely closed to traffic from 7:00 am. Saturday 24th September at 12:00 on Sunday 25th September. The area will be used for the parking and departure of the vintage cars entered in the race.
A two-way street will be set up in Viale Marconi.
