The photo gallery of the DOGDOGS inauguration

“[…] dogs have human qualities, and I think my pictures have an anthropomorphic appeal. Essentially, they have nothing to do with dogs… I mean, I hope what they’re about is the human condition. But people can take them as they like”.

With these words, Elliott Erwitt introduces us to his exhibition DOGDOGS, inaugurated on Friday, March 14 at Palazzo Callas Exhibitions. The images of the famous photographer, imbued with irony and sensitivity, offer the public the opportunity to reflect on human nature through the filter of our faithful four-legged friends, reminding us that in the animal world we can find profound reflections of ourselves.

The inauguration, which saw the participation of Luisa Lavelli, Mayor of Sirmione, Riccardo Genovesi, Councilor for Tourism, and Andréa Holzherr, Global Cultural Director of Magnum Photos, kicked off a visual experience that will accompany visitors until Sunday 13 July 2025.
