A rainbow of sounds and a very rich repertoire awaits the public in Sing & Play Together: the review of bands and choirs.
The starting point is Lungolago di Lugana with the first 5 appointments. The English choirs will open the festival: on 11 July, al 9:00 pm, the Guildford High School and Royal Grammar School will delight the public with 28 singers engaged in a repertoire ranging from classical to jazz, on 13 July, at 9:30 pm, the St Mary’s College Crosby orchestra will take the stage with 53 musicians for a classical and light repertoire and, on July 14 at 9:30 pm, the Churcher’s College Orchestra and Jazz Band with as many elements for a classical, pop and jazz program. It will then be the turn of the Corpo Bandistico di Lonato, an ensemble that boasts more than a century of tradition, and the multi-award-winning Corpo bandistico di Borgosatollo, respectively on 15 and 22 July at 9:30 pm.The review will continue in Piazza Mercato for the last two appointments: on 10 August, at 9:00 pm, with the “Music in freedom” of the group I Carioca from Sirmione and on 2 September, at 9:00 pm, with the concert by the Banda di Desenzano del Garda, a very active group that boasts prestigious national and international collaborations. The concert will be preceded, at 6:00 pm, at the Spiaggia delle Muse, by a band concert from Switzerland.
