Sirmione Photo Residency: All the Participants in the 2026 Edition

142 projects from 34 different countries around the world were submitted

One hundred and forty-two different ways of looking at the world. This is the wealth of images, ideas, and sensibilities gathered by the fifth edition of the Sirmione Photo Residency, which this year received applications from 34 countries.

The quality and variety of the submitted works are striking, offering a broad and nuanced panorama of approaches, themes, and poetics. Each project offers a personal way of observing reality, interpreting it, and questioning it. Some explore the intimate dimension, others the landscape, others conflict, memory, or identity. Together, these works compose a choral portrait of our time through photography.

During the judging process, the jury first identified a shortlist of five projects deemed particularly significant. From this final selection, Alessio Cupelli, author of the project As if I Belonged, was chosen as the photographer for the Sirmione Photo Residency 2026.
