WATER: The winner of the second week of the Block Notes Photo Contest

WATER: The force that flows, gives movement and life: rain, rivers, sea, reflections

127 photographers participated in the second week of the Block Notes Photo Contest.
The winning photo is by Agnese Denti (Mandello del Lario) and Maria Molteni (Oggiono)wins a Special Mention from the Jury.

The jury’s comment on the winning photo:
“The author has approached the theme of water with a clean and very effective composition. The gesture of the hand pouring water perfectly complements the submerged plant.
The choice of lighting, which isolates the subject from the black background and enhances the textures, is particularly successful.”

The Block Notes Photo Contest is a four-week journey where photographers, through four themes, will explore nature through its fundamental forces: energy, transformation, and balance.

EARTH (Monday, April 27th to Sunday, May 3rd, 2026)
WATER (Monday, May 4th to Sunday, May 10th, 2026)
AIR (Monday, May 11th to Sunday, May 17th, 2026)
FIRE (Monday, May 18th to Sunday, May 24th, 2026)

Each week, the jury will evaluate individual photographs, while at the end of the four weeks, the sequence of four images will be evaluated. Therefore, attention must also be paid to the stylistic coherence and narrative coordination of the four photographs.

Participation is free, and photographs must be submitted by 11:59 PM on Sunday.
