The definition of literature is far from obvious.
The definitions that have been given of the term, sensitive to different ideologies, world views, political or philosophical sensibilities, are different from each other and often absolutely irreconcilable.
However, there are probably few passionate readers who struggle with the definition of literature and, rather, prefer to browse and read books.
