An evening and a concert that promise great emotions: the exclusive frame of the Grottoes of Catullus, great music performers and the rare privilege of meeting one of the most loved divas of the opera. A journey through music and history in an atmosphere that, under the sign of Maria Callas, will fascinate and leave an unforgettable memory.
Federica Vitali, Aida Pascu, Darija Auguštan will be the extraordinary protagonists of the concert: their sensitivity and the simplicity of voice and piano, played by Debora Mori, will exalt the expressiveness of musical choices. Arias as “Casta Diva” by Vincenzo Bellini, “Un bel dì vedremo” by Giacomo Puccini and songs as “Moon River” by Henry Mancini will be proposed in the sign of the great opera music in honor of Maria Callas.
The evening will be enriched by soprano Raina Kabaivanska, one of the most important opera singer of our times, whose debut at Teatro alla Scala in Milan dates back in 1961: an authentic opera diva that will share some memories and curiosities of the years in which she met the Divine, speaking with Angelo Gabrielli, musician, art director and manager of famous artist of the classical music world.
“Callas and Maria. Three Sopranos in concert”, event organized in collaboration with the Direzione regionale Musei Lombardia, is the first event of the music festival “Homage to Maria Callas”, a programme of 9 concerts tied to life and art of Maria Callas, that will end in December in occasion of the birthday of the Divine, with a prestigious concert of the Berliner Philharmoniker string quintet.
