Ecomuseum of Peace
For culture and traditions, Sirmione naturally faces Lake Garda, but we must not forget that another very rich world opens up from its hinterland: the area of the moraine hills and the hills of Mantua; a heritage of history, culture, art, food and wine and countless tourist attractions that the Ecomuseum of Peace aims to enhance with specific communication and promotion activities.
The Sirmione branch of the Ecomuseum of Peace ideally addresses this area of its hinterland, proposing a video-itinerary that touches all the towns that have joined the project. A route that starts and returns to Sirmione and which ideally embraces these places, discovering their historical, natural and landscape beauties.
The Ecomuseum of Peace is a project created thanks to a partnership agreement coordinated by the Mincio Regional Park and which unites the territories of the Risorgimento battles between nature, history and flavors of rurality. These are the municipalities that participated in its creation:
Castiglione delle Stiviere, Cavriana, Desenzano del Garda, Lonato del Garda, Monzambano, Ponti sul Mincio, Pozzolengo, Sirmione, Solferino and Volta Mantovana.
The opening hours of the Sirmione branch of the Ecomuseum of Peace are the same as the exhibitions open at Palazzo Callas Exhibitions
