EQUILIBRI. Dialoghi sulle fratture del mondo contemporaneo
A series of events promoted by the Municipality of Sirmione and the Municipal Library, bringing some of the nation’s most authoritative authors, journalists, and scholars into dialogue with the public. This program is designed to interpret the major transformations of the present day and provide tools for understanding our times.
The series addresses some of the most pressing current issues: wars and geopolitical crises, climate change, energy dynamics, and China’s global role. The events will feature open discussions between the guest speakers and the audience, aiming to bring specialized knowledge closer to the community and foster critical thinking.
The title “Equilibri” (Balances) also evokes the concept of “equi-libri”—the capacity of books and culture to provide the tools needed to understand the fractures within the contemporary world. The series seeks to create a lasting space for public dialogue on major global issues, serving as a meeting point for diverse ideas, experiences, and perspectives.
