The Municipality of Sirmione opens the second year of celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Maria Callas with an exclusive opera concert in the breathtaking setting of Prato delle Noci in the archaeological area of the Grotte di Catullo.
Tre donne per Maria. Una voce e quattro mani will feature three extraordinary musicians: Elisa Balbo, Mirca Rosciani and Sabina Concari, who will alternate on stage recalling Maria Callas through the power and sensitivity of an essential ensemble: voice and piano. The concert opens the second year of celebrations of an important journey which, which began in the summer of 2021, will end in 2023, the year in which the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Divine will be celebrated.
The concert, which is scheduled to start at 21:00, will be preceded by a Lugana wine tasting organized in collaboration with the Cantine del Lugana di Sirmione (it will be possible to access the audience starting at 20:00).
Tre donne per Maria is the first appointment of the musical review Omaggio a Maria Callas, a program of 7 concerts linked in various ways to the life and art of Maria Callas that will end on 23 September 2022 with Un palco per le giovani voci, Concerto finale con i vincitori del Premio Callas. Concorso Lirico Internazionale Mario Orlandoni di Como.
