Farewell Ambra Tiraboschi, Lady of Lugana
A touching memory of an unforgettable figure for Sirmione
With the passing of Ambra Tiraboschi, the world of Lugana loses an unforgettable figure, capable of embodying the passion and commitment that have transformed the denomination into a symbol of international excellence. Ambra, together with her husband Franco, founded the Ca’ Lojera winery in Sirmione in 1992, responding to a challenge that seemed impossible: to promote a product, the Turbiana grape, that had no market. Her vision, determination and love for the territory contributed not only to the success of her company, but also to the growth and recognition of Lugana in the world.
Ambra was among the first to believe in the Lugana Consortium, joining other producers to promote and defend the territory she loved so much. Her commitment to Lugana was always fueled by a strong sense of belonging, community and family, values that she always tried to convey to those around her. Her ability to combine tradition and innovation has given her wines that “eternal youth” that makes them unique, elegant and capable of aging gracefully.
Ambra will forever remain a symbol of strength, elegance and simplicity, an example of how love for one’s land can transform into a success that transcends borders. Her spirit continues to live in the vineyards of Ca’ Lojera and in the hearts of those who have had the privilege of knowing her.
