The Flowery Easter of Sirmione

Best wishes from the Mayor of Sirmione, Luisa Lavelli, for a peaceful Easter and a season full of beauty and sharing

In some places, Easter is called “Easter in Bloom,” because the new Christ blooms!
Pope Francis

On the occasion of the Easter holidays, I would like to extend to each of you my heartfelt wishes for a peaceful and joyful Easter.

May these days be a precious time to share authentic moments and renew the bonds that unite us as a community.

We live in an extraordinary place, which every day gives us beauty, history and traditions. With the arrival of spring, Sirmione blooms again and opens up to the world with a new tourist season, ready to welcome those in search of wonder, culture and hospitality.

The colors of the tulips that dot our peninsula are a tangible sign of this rebirth: an explosion of life that recalls the words of Pope Francis, when he speaks of Easter in Bloom, in which “the new Christ blooms.” A blooming not only of nature, but also of the spirit.

It is a period of momentum and renewed energy, an opportunity to highlight the many excellences of our territory. Thanks to everyone’s commitment and participation, Sirmione will continue to be a lively, open place, capable of offering authentic experiences to both those who live there and those who discover it.

I wish you and your families a peaceful, healthy and happy Easter, with the hope that the season that awaits us will be full of satisfaction for our entire community and for all the people who choose to spend some time with us.
