Temporary change in traffic flow

Pavement maintenance work is scheduled for piazza Unità d’Italia from Monday, February 9th to Saturday, February 21st, 2026, resulting in temporary traffic changes in surrounding streets as well.

The work will take place in two phases:

From February 9th to 14th

• Full closure of piazza Unità d’Italia and via Todeschino
• Closure of the southbound lane of via Brescia – via Verona, traffic regulated with alternating one-way traffic on the northbound lane
• Transit prohibited for vehicles over 3.5 tons and buses (except for local public transport)

From February 16th to 21st

• Closure of piazza Unità d’Italia and via Todeschino confirmed
• Closure of the northbound lane of via Brescia – via Verona, traffic regulated with alternating one-way traffic on the southbound lane
• Transit prohibitions for vehicles over 3.5 tons and buses (except for local public transport) remain in effect

Main traffic diversions

• The section of piazza Unità d’Italia between via San Francesco and via Brescia/via Verona will be diverted onto via San Francesco
• The section of piazza Unità d’Italia near via Todeschino, at the intersection with via Brescia/via Verona, will be diverted onto via Alfieri/via Emilia

Public Transport

From February 9th to 21st, the following stops are suspended:

• Piazza Unità d’Italia
• Via Roma
• Piazza Campiello

A temporary stop has been activated on via Salvo D’Acquisto, in front of the Hotel Porto Azzurro, for lines to Brescia and Verona.

Parking will be prohibited throughout the work period, with forced removal of vehicles in the affected areas. Access to homes and businesses, as well as pedestrian walkways, will be maintained.
