Sirmione and the Mille Miglia race
Emotions, elegance, history and engines parade in front of the Scaligero Castle
On Tuesday 17th June, the 1000 Miglia race, the most famous and important regularity race for vintage cars, returns to Sirmione.
There is an inseparable bond between the 1000 Miglia race and Sirmione. The Rocca Scaligera and the ancient village are the ideal setting to welcome the drivers: the beauty of Sirmione provides the perfect boost to face a race that puts hearts and engines to the test.

The first cars are scheduled to arrive at about 1:30 pm with the Ferrari Tribute to 1000 Miglia, the parade of sports cars that anticipates the passage of the historic cars in the race, while the first historic car of the 43rd Re-enactment of the 1000 Miglia race will arrive at around 2.30pm (the last car is scheduled around 6pm)
The cars will arrive from Desenzano del Garda drive along via Brescia to turn left and continue on via Bagnera. At Piazzale J. Lennon they will enter via XXV Aprile and reach piazzale Porto. In front of the Castello Scaligero the stamp control and the turnaround.
Returning to Piazza Unità d’Italia, the cars will turn left to head towards Peschiera del Garda.
Traffic modifications:
The traffic modifications will be specified in a specific ordinance.
For the moment, it is possible to anticipate that the entire area of Piazzale Porto and Lungolago Diaz up to Piazzale Europa will be completely available for the event, from the night between June 16th and 17th and until the late afternoon of Tuesday June 17th.
The scheduled time for the closure to traffic of the areas involved in the timed trials is from noon to approximately 7:00pm on June 17th, 2025.
