After the passage of the Mille Miglia and Swim the Island, Sirmione is once again the scene of a major sporting event: the stage of the Giro d’Italia Women which will see the athletes start from Sirmione and arrive in Volta Mantovana.
102 km which from the shores of Lake Garda enter the Brescia plain, touching the towns of Lonato, Montichiari, Asola and Medole before arriving in Guidizzolo, where the group will begin a circuit, and then arrive in Volta Mantovana.
The Giro d’Italia women is not only a high-level competition, but also an opportunity to reflect on issues of great social relevance such as the awareness campaign against gender violence symbolized by the red/pink bench which the Municipality of Sirmione has positioned in via Salvo D’Acquisto.
Sirmione, with its hospitality and its enchanting landscape, is ready to be the backdrop to this extraordinary stage, combining sport and social commitment in a compelling event.
