Gianfranco Salsi is the final winner of the Block Notes Photo Contest 2025

With the images of his 4 dimensions he wins a stay in Sirmione

Gianfranco Salsi, from Gattatico (Reggio Emilia), is the Final Winner of the Block Notes Photo Contest 2025!

The competition, divided into a four-week journey, this year invited participants to explore different dimensions: SMALL – MEDIUM – LARGE – EXTRA LARGE.

Four themes open to the freest and most creative interpretation: the concept of size could be declined not only in a spatial or physical sense, but also symbolic, emotional, sentimental, temporal, perceptive or even metaphorical.

As usual, for each week the Jury selected a winner, rewarding the interpretation of the single theme. However, only those who participated in all four weeks could compete for the Final Prize.

Among the 68 photographic stories in the competition, Gianfranco Salsi stood out for having constructed a convincing and well-articulated story. The narrative and stylistic concatenation of his 4 photographs convinced the Jury of the Sirmione Award for Photography which named him the Final Winner of the Block Notes Photo Contest 2025.
