Block Notes Photo Contest: Nature Through Its Fundamental Forces for the 2026 Edition

The Block Notes Photo Contest, Lake Garda’s online photography challenge, following the TEENS Photo Marathon on Sunday, April 19th, is the second event in the 2026 edition of the Sirmione Photography Award.

The Block Notes Photo Contest is divided into four weekly sessions from Monday to Sunday:
THE FOUR ELEMENTS
Nature through its fundamental forces: energy, transformation, balance
EARTH (Monday, April 27th to Sunday, May 3rd, 2026)
WATER (Monday, May 4th to Sunday, May 10th, 2026)
AIR (Monday, May 11th to Sunday, May 17th, 2026)
FIRE (Monday, May 18th to Sunday, May 24th, 2026)
For each of the four weeks, each participant will submit a photograph related to one of the four elements: EARTH, WATER, AIR, FIRE.
The four themes can be interpreted with maximum creative freedom: the subject can be understood in a physical, symbolic, emotional, sentimental, or even metaphorical sense.
Photographs can be taken anywhere: they do not need to have any relation to Sirmione or Lake Garda.
Each week, the jury will evaluate the individual photographs, while at the end of the four weeks, the sequence of the four images will be evaluated. Therefore, attention must also be paid to the stylistic coherence and narrative coordination of the four photographs.
Participation is free, and photographs must be submitted by 11:59 PM on Sunday.

A guided tour for two to the Grottoes of Catullus
FINAL PRIZE (for those who participated in all four weeks of the competition)
A stay in Sirmione for two (2 nights and breakfast)
