The Mille Miglia passes through Sirmione like a time machine.
For one day, on the same track, different eras come together and mix, joined like a zip by the “most beautiful race in the world “.
Today, like then, the racing cars that emerge from the past catapult us into an amazing world of chrome, dust, hats, leather helmets and racing goggles.
The photographs in “The Passage” exhibition show the time machine in full swing: the splendid vintage pictures from the Negri Photographic Archive, make it possible to admire the protagonists of the Mille Miglia speeding through the streets of the first half of the last century and then, as if by magic, the same cars of the past are back again today,
stainless and indomitable, retracing with the same determination our world transformed by time.
