A photographic project and a book dedicated to the relationship between nature, territory and inhabitants in Sirmione.
With A RIVA, the result of the Sirmione Photo Residency 2023, Simona Ghizzoni tells the story of the bond between human beings and the environment, re-actualizing the historical and mythical roots of the territory. Through field research, portraits, still lifes in mise-en-scène, landscapes and a herbarium of traditional plants, the photographer offers a reinterpretation that develops a profound reflection on the contemporary human condition in relation to its habitat.
