Divinæ light is an extraordinary installation of lights, sounds and music that evokes the presence of Maria Callas in Sirmione in the second year of celebrations of the centennial Sirmione Callas 21 – 23.

The work consists of two different light installations that ideally embrace the villa where Maria lived for a long time in the 1950s. The first is lit in Viale Gennari while the second comes to life in Via Punta Staffalo, on one of the external walls of the famous Villa Callas. Through an exciting harmony of images and colors, the Divina is celebrated from a new extraordinary point of view and symbolically brought back to her home.

Thanks to the light, the architectures are transformed into multisensory experiences and together they become a ritual full of symbolism that makes the memory of Mary perfectly corporeal.

“The determining principle and the perfection of all bodies is, therefore, light”
Robert Grosseteste – De luce (1225-1228)

Divinæ light was created in collaboration with Proietta s.r.l. Turin-based international leader in the design of products for outdoor architectural projections.
