10% Photo Marathon: Looking Beyond the Labels
Photographers on the hunt for urban labels to complete the FIT • EVERY SIZE MATTERS exhibition
In the exhibition FIT • EVERY SIZE MATTERS, we also talk about sizes.
About labels sewn into clothes that define who we are or who we should be.
But labels are everywhere.
On intercoms, on walls, on signs, in shop windows.
Names, numbers, notices, directions, orders: words that classify, indicate, separate.
This was the challenge faced by the photographers who met on Sunday, July 20th at 7:00 a.m. in Piazza Carducci to participate in the Sirmione 10% Photo Marathon.
For an hour, they hunted for urban labels: writings to identify a place, an object, a person, a promise, a moment, a memory, a name on an intercom, a writing on a wall, a sign, a placard, a stair number.
Four square, black-and-white photos will complete the exhibition FIT • EVERY SIZE MATTERS, open at Palazzo Callas Exhibitions until November 9th.
