A rendezvous with literature amidst the tranquil waters of Lake Garda.<\/p>\n<p>This special gathering with the <strong>English Caf\u00e9<\/strong> will take place on a boat! A special tour around the peninsula of Sirmione, where participants can share their favorite <strong>short poems inspired by Lake Garda or any lake<\/strong>, enjoy the magical atmosphere of the sunset amidst the lake, the panoramic views of Sirmione, Grotte di Catullo, and the Scaligero Castle&#8230; And while the poems are being recited, <strong>excellent Lugana wine will be served<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BOOKING IS MANDATORY: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">in person<\/span> by Friday 7 June at 11:30am <\/strong>at Ufficio Cultura e Turismo, Comune di Sirmione, via Alfieri: <strong>tel. 030 9909 184<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The boat tour is subject to a fee<\/strong>. Participants will pay <strong>20 euros each<\/strong> (including a one-hour boat tour and Lugana wine) directly at the boarding. The meeting spot is <strong>Piazzale Porto<\/strong>, at the docking point of <strong>Garda Tours<\/strong>. it is recommended to arrive <strong>well in advance (at 7:45 PM)<\/strong> to complete the payment procedures and boarding formalities. Flat shoes and comfortable clothing are recommended.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maximum number of participants: 20 people<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"VIiyi\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"it\" data-phrase-index=\"2\" data-number-of-phrases=\"3\">&#8230;b<\/span><\/span>y the way, the book we are reading for the\u00a0<strong>Sirmione Book Club English<\/strong> and that will be discussed on <strong>September<\/strong> <strong>12th<\/strong> at the Public Library is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.it\/Lovely-Bones-Alice-Sebold\/dp\/0316666343\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>The Lovely Bones <\/strong><\/a>by\u00a0<strong>Alice Sebold<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Our English reading group features <strong>monthly encounters<\/strong>, organized as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Sirmione Book Club English<\/strong>, on uneven months in the Municipal Library, with books proposed by the coordinators <strong>Rosemary Williamson<\/strong>, <strong>Rosalind Rabbitt <\/strong>and<strong> Ann Davies<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>English Caf\u00e8<\/strong>, on even months, where to more freely talk about books we&#8217;d like to read, share, propose. The English Caf\u00e8, as the name suggests, will not take place in the Public Library, but in a more informal venue, namely a pub, bar, hotel or vinery in Sirmione.
