Registrations are open for\u00a0SwimtheIsland Sirmione<\/strong><\/a> 2022 edition, the historic appointment for the Italian and international open water swimming community conceived by TriO Events<\/strong> with the patronage of <\/span><\/span>Regione Lombardia<\/strong>, Provincia di Brescia <\/strong>and Municipality of Sirmione<\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June<\/strong> the Sirmione stage of the SwimTheIsland circuit will not fail to offer young people, families, amateurs and experts the opportunity to get involved, based on their preparation, choosing the preferred distance between the various competitions on the program. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The spirit of the initiative is that of the greatest possible inclusiveness and aims above all to entertain and fascinate thanks to the wonderful environmental and naturalistic context in which it takes place. In fact,\u00a0is not every day swimming against the background of the Grotte di Catullo<\/strong>: the remains of a sumptuous Roman villa among the largest in northern Italy, the fantastic Jamaica Beach<\/strong>, the enchanting Spiaggia del Prete<\/strong> with its white pebbles and the walls of the Scaliger Castle<\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“It is a pride for Sirmione to welcome this challenging international competition year after year – declares<\/em> Lorenzo Loda, city councilor with responsibility for sport<\/strong> of the Municipality of Sirmione<\/strong> – sport is synonymous with commitment, perseverance, determination, but also celebration. Making SWIMTHEISLAND in the surrounding waters our peninsula is a pleasure for the eyes and the spirit. A way to fully experience the nature of our territory, enhancing the beauties that characterize it through sporting activities. We will offer the participants and the public of the event a unique show, as only Sirmione can give, made up of history, culture, food and wine and the colors of Lake Garda.<\/em> ” <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Two days dedicated to sport and tourism, as Andrea Rosa<\/strong> of TriO Events<\/strong> also points out: “The organizational machine is working at full speed for an even more engaging seventh edition. We expect a 20% increase in registrations, given the growing interest shown by competitive athletes, but also by families and enthusiasts from abroad, who represent on average 15% of those present and who choose to travel to discover the beauty of this historic center. We want SWIMTHEISLAND to represent a celebration for the entire territory, so we also invite citizens to share the emotions of the event by reaching the Expo Village in Piazzale Porto.<\/em>“<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
