VISTE DA LAGO DI GARDA<\/strong> (Views from Lake Garda<\/em>), the new photobook by Hiro Tanaka, stems from work created during the Sirmione Photo Residency 2025<\/a><\/strong>. During the presentation, the photographer will be in conversation with journalist Luca Fiore<\/strong> and Ludovica Pellegatta<\/strong>, Partnerships Director at Magnum Photos.<\/p>\n

Hiro Tanaka<\/strong>\u2019s gaze operates through visual associations, formal resonances, and juxtapositions that emerge from a prolonged engagement with images rather than from a pre-established plan. Viste da<\/strong> lago di Garda<\/strong>\u00a0reflects the way the Japanese photographer arrived in Sirmione: without maps, preconceptions, or hypotheses to test<\/strong><\/em>, instead allowing the place to reveal itself through its everyday reality.<\/p>\n

Thus, a tangible Sirmione and Lake Garda emerge in BOOK04<\/strong> of the Sirmione Photo Residency<\/strong>. The images acquire meaning through their juxtaposition\u2014amidst similarities and contrasts\u2014building a sense of daily life that is at once familiar and unexpected.<\/p>\n
