{"id":121522,"date":"2026-03-27T11:29:35","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T10:29:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/visitsirmione.com\/?p=121522"},"modified":"2026-04-03T09:22:59","modified_gmt":"2026-04-03T07:22:59","slug":"limited-traffic-zone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/visitsirmione.com\/en\/limited-traffic-zone\/","title":{"rendered":"Limited traffic zone"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"editor-img alignnone wp-image-44733 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/visitsirmione.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/8X2-ZTL-WELCOME-POINT-MARZO-2022.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"826\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/visitsirmione.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/8X2-ZTL-WELCOME-POINT-MARZO-2022.jpg 826w, https:\/\/visitsirmione.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/8X2-ZTL-WELCOME-POINT-MARZO-2022-568x142.jpg 568w, https:\/\/visitsirmione.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/8X2-ZTL-WELCOME-POINT-MARZO-2022-374x93.jpg 374w, https:\/\/visitsirmione.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/8X2-ZTL-WELCOME-POINT-MARZO-2022-794x198.jpg 794w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 826px) 100vw, 826px\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The tourist season is upon us, and <strong>Sirmione<\/strong> is ready to welcome tourists and visitors to enjoy its beauty, hospitality, and services.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Municipal Administration<\/strong> has always been committed to implementing targeted interventions to enhance the area and identify solutions that improve the livability and usability of spaces for residents and guests. <strong>To pursue these objectives<\/strong>, t<strong>he summer ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone) regulation and a pedestrianization schedule are in effect from March 23 to October 13, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These measures are part of a series of actions aimed at reducing the mix of vehicular and pedestrian traffic that makes the historic center difficult to live in, especially on certain days and at certain times of day.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comune.sirmione.bs.it\/it\/documenti_pubblici\/regolamentazione-della-ztl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">To access the ZTL<\/a> the vehicle must be previously authorized and the license plate data must be entered into the control system.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: 1rem; caret-color: auto;\"><strong>Pedestrianization days:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>A <strong>31-day pedestrian zone<\/strong> is planned, with traffic <strong>prohibited for all vehicles<\/strong> from <strong>2:00 PM<\/strong> to <strong>7:00 PM<\/strong>, on the following days:<\/p>\n<p><strong>April<\/strong>: 4, 5, 6, 24, 25, 26<br \/>\n<strong>May<\/strong>: 1, 2, 3, 30, 31<br \/>\n<strong>June<\/strong>: 1, 2, 7, 14, 21, 28<br \/>\n<strong>July:<\/strong> 5, 12, 19, 26<br \/>\n<strong>August<\/strong>: 2, 9, 15, 16, 23, 30<br \/>\n<strong>September<\/strong>: 6, 13, 20, 27<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Exceptions<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Golf carts (Grifo Parking), emergency vehicles, residents only exiting for emergencies<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Organization and Safety<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During the pedestrian zone, an experimental mandatory pedestrian path is active in Largo Goethe. Entrance to the historic center.<br \/>\nA local <strong>police patrol<\/strong>, two support <strong>operators<\/strong>, security <strong>guards<\/strong>, and <strong>street tutors<\/strong> are constantly present.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Priority Access Pass<\/h3>\n<p>The Municipality of Sirmione has introduced a <strong>priority access pass<\/strong> system for the historic center. The aim is to improve the management of tourist flows, particularly during peak periods, while also contributing to an overall increase in safety.
